Europa League Round of 16 Secured
We have secured a place in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 thanks to our impressive 3-0 victory over Elfsborg on Thursday night.
By finishing the group stage with 17 points, we have secured a fourth-place finish and automatically progressed to the last 16 of the competition.
Upcoming Round of 16 Draw
The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Friday, February 21st. We will be paired with Manchester United, who finished third in their group.
Our potential opponents in the round of 16 are Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, AZ Alkmaar, and Midtjylland, who finished 13th, 14th, 19th, and 20th, respectively. These teams will now compete in the knockout play-off games to determine the two sides that will progress to the round of 16.
The round of 16 matches will be two-legged affairs, with the first leg taking place on Thursday, March 6th, and the second leg on Thursday, March 13th. As the seeded team in the tie, we will have the advantage of playing the second leg at home.
