Borussia Dortmund’s Pursuit of Eduard Spertsyan
According to reports, Borussia Dortmund are preparing a €22.5 million bid to acquire the services of Eduard Spertsyan from Krasnodar. The German club is eager to finalize the deal before the upcoming summer transfer window.
Alongside Dortmund’s interest, Leeds United are actively pushing to accelerate negotiations for the talented midfielder. Meanwhile, European giants Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain continue to monitor the situation closely.
Spertsyan has been a standout performer for Krasnodar this season, featuring in 25 matches and contributing 6 goals and 3 assists. Speaking to the Russian outlet Championat, the player addressed the recent transfer speculation, stating that he never discussed a move to Leeds United with his former coach, Daniel Farke.
Spertsyan’s Openness to a Move
While Spertsyan didn’t rule out a potential move to Leeds United in the future, he acknowledged that the offer would have to be quite substantial for Krasnodar to consider releasing him during the current winter transfer window.
“Why not?,” Spertsyan says when asked if he would consider a move to Leeds later down the line (h/t LeedsUnited.News). “They will most likely get into the Premier League, they are in first place.”
“Yes, I want to leave, but I can’t leave the club [in the winter]. For them to let me go in the winter, the offer must be very good, and the club must have a great desire to sign me. This winter, that’s exactly what didn’t happen.”
Spertsyan’s openness to a potential move, coupled with Krasnodar’s apparent willingness to negotiate, could pave the way for a transfer in the near future, provided the right offer and conditions are met.
As the transfer window continues to unfold, the situation surrounding Eduard Spertsyan’s future is one that football enthusiasts and analysts will undoubtedly keep a close eye on.
