Neil Warnock Reveals His Premier League Managerial Desire

Liverpool currently lead the Premier League table, with Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Bournemouth, and Chelsea trailing behind in what is shaping up to be an exhilarating campaign this season.

The Premier League is delivering exceptional entertainment this term, with virtually every team capable of defeating any other.

For instance, Liverpool have lost to Nottingham Forest, while Arsenal have lost to Bournemouth and Newcastle United. Meanwhile, powerhouses like Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United have also suffered multiple defeats in the league this season.

Even the struggling teams, such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ipswich Town, and Leicester City, have managed to threaten and defeat teams in much better form.

Renowned manager Neil Warnock has shared his thoughts on this season’s Premier League campaign and the team he would love to be managing right now.

Neil Warnock: Bournemouth Would Be His Premier League Team

Warnock, speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, revealed that he currently has a soft spot for Bournemouth.

The Cherries have enjoyed a remarkable season under the management of Andoni Iraola, currently sitting comfortably in fifth place in the league table.

“If I had a team in the Premier League, it would be Bournemouth,” said Warnock. “Only because they’ve got a group of lads. I’ve never had the best team wherever I’ve gone – eight promotions, I’ve never had the best team wherever I’ve been, but I’ve had the best dressing room at times.”

Warnock continued, “It’s amazing what you can do with a dressing room when people believe in what you’re saying and you know your mate’s going to get you out the car if he makes a mistake and that togetherness. That’s what Bournemouth have got. Bournemouth go at it and they’re not bothered about if they lose a goal or what have you. I love watching them play, and that’s down to the manager – he’s, you know, go on (makes pushing forward gesture).”

What Awaits Bournemouth Before the International Break

Bournemouth have been a breath of fresh air this season, ranking among the Premier League’s leaders in terms of counter pressures, turnovers, distance covered per game, and sprints per game.

Not only do the Cherries have genuine hopes of finishing in the top four, but they could also go all the way in the FA Cup.

Bournemouth’s upcoming fixtures include a home match against Wolves this weekend, followed by a trip to Brighton next Tuesday, both in the Premier League. They then host Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday, March 1, before heading to Tottenham eight days later in the league. Bournemouth will wrap up their program before the international break by hosting Brentford in the league on Saturday, March 15.

Call to Action: With Bournemouth’s impressive performances and exciting upcoming fixtures, this is a team to keep a close eye on as the Premier League season unfolds. Don’t miss the opportunity to follow their journey and see if they can maintain their strong position in the table and make a deep run in the FA Cup.
